Losang has been guiding his students and friends from the USA, Canada, and Europe on pilgrimages to sacred sites in India and Nepal since 1993. Losang leads the groups to provide opportunities to experience Tibetan and Indian cultures, see various ways of life, meet numerous meditators and scholars, to visit holy sites, and perhaps even trekking in the Himalayas. Groups often visit places including Dharamsala (the site of the Tibetan Government in Exile and the home of His Holiness the Dalai Lama), Ladakh, Bodh Gaya, Varanasy, Jaipur, and Agra (the Taj Mahal). As part of the pilgrimages, students have participated in teachings given by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as well as other Teachers and Scholars. The pilgrimages are transformative and participants comment on how their life changes after being on these spiritual learning journeys with Losang.
On this pilgrimage with Lama Losang you will enjoy various sights and meaningful events in Ladakh, also known as "little Tibet", in Northern India. In the last 60 years there have been many changes in Tibet, but in “little Tibet” in Ladakh, the monasteries have remained authentic for the past thousand years.
This pilgrimage will begin August 2 in Delhi, before we fly into Leh, Ladakh, where they will visit ancient monasteries (including: Hemis, Thikse, Thaktok, Jamde, Spituk, Lamayuru and Alchi monasteries). The group will have the opportunity to see rare sacred paintings and observe traditions that have been beautifully maintained for centuries. The pilgrims will then journey through Jammu Kashmir to arrive in Dharamsala, the home of His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, where they will visit temples, nunneries and other sacred sites. The group will return to Delhi on August 21st, where they will spend some time before flying home on August 23rd.
